Alex Bobes, founder and president of Taxi Gratis Association, founded the organization in 2013 after personal experience with his mother's medical transport problems.
"When I saw the difficulties my mother faced getting to the hospital, I realized there are many people in similar situations who cannot afford medical transport," says Alex.
This is how the idea of a free transport service for people with medical and financial problems was born.
